The Gaitor-Aid quad crutch has a four point base gives a great deal of stability as does the forearm crutch cuff. This device is often used to transition from a walker to a single point crutch or cane.
Guardian made this adjustable quad-crutch for years. When they stopped making them we picked up the slack. The interface between the crutch and the base is a single Tornado gel tip that provides a universal joint action that allows for a smooth walking gait. The base touches the ground on the back two rubber tipped feet then flexes so the front two feet engage the ground as well, even at an angle. The tip is attached closest to the side of the platform that is next to your foot. If you need to switch sides, remove the clip pin that holds the leg-tube and rotate the platform 180 degrees and re-insert the pin. We also install Padded leather cuff insert (a $40.00 value) as well as our Performance gel hand grip for comfort.
